GASB issued their Preliminary Views document June 15, 2010 with comments due on September 17, 2010. The proposed changes in accounting disclosures are expected to be dramatic and no longer directly relate to the funding of a plan. This discussion covers some of the more controversial aspects of these proposed changes.
