Enterprise Risk Management is arguably the fastest growing actuarial practice. The increasingly risk-aware public is ever more hungry for insight into risk – be it specific (e.g., pension risk), company-wide (e.g., enterprise risk), or across the economy (e.g., systemic risk). Speakers at this session explore the various ways that retirement and employee benefit actuaries can use their training and experience in areas OUTSIDE their normal comfort zone. Our thesis is that, regardless of our area of specialization, actuaries have much to contribute to their clients risk management endeavors.
