Inside the Board of Directors Meeting: Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and More
The Board of Directors recently met and I thought it would be great to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what happens during one of our sessions. These meetings are a crucial part of advancing CCA’s mission, and I’m excited to share a glimpse into our discussions and planning efforts.
Our agenda for the day and a half-long meeting was packed with important topics. One of the biggest priorities for our February meeting was strategic planning—ensuring that we are effectively fulfilling CCA’s goals and continuing to push our mission forward.
Another key topic on the agenda was budgeting. We took this time to carefully review and plan the budget for the year, ensuring that our financial resources align with our organizational objectives.
In addition, we received reports on our various committees, task forces, and ongoing activities within the CCA. These updates help us stay informed about the work being done across the organization and allow us to assess progress on key initiatives.
One of the most important discussions we have revolves around continuing education offerings. This includes planning and reviewing events such as the Annual Meeting, the CCA Enrolled Actuaries Conference, the Healthcare Meeting, the Professionalism Forum, and webinars. Our goal is to make sure these programs run smoothly and deliver valuable content to our members and others.
Thanks for tuning in to this inside look at our board meeting! I hope this gives you a better understanding of the work we do and how we strive to serve you and advance our mission.
